I’m Christian — a CPA and sr. financial analyst writing on history, philosophy, technology and finance.
This is my digital garden; a collection of notes, half-formed ideas, and occasional essays.
Most of what’s here is incomplete; fragments of what I have learned in my readings. I like to think of it as dry-powder. Ideas and knowledge waiting to be deployed into something interesting or useful. Pieces that mature into something coherent can be found in the writings section. But most stay messy. Many have spelling errors. I’m often more interested in exploration than polish.
About This Garden
Essays are organized by maturity, rather than chronology or topic. I’m currently re-reading The Great Game by Peter Hopkirk, and I’ve taken inspiration from those 19th-century explorers who risked their lives to dutifully chart and map ‘the great unknown’.
TerraIncognita - Raw notes and observations. Potentially wrong. Don’t take these too seriously.
Surveyed - Ideas starting to come together. Still developing.
Gazetteer - Rare, fully-formed thoughts. Though, I always reserve the right to change my mind.
